Defamation Monsters is a satirical project operated from the United States. The “monster” labels—including the tier names Baby Monster, Teen Monster, Chonky Monster, and Megachonk Monster, and all monster imagery—are the author’s opinion, expressed as parody. The underlying numbers come from Google’s published Maps transparency data on reviews removed following legal complaints. A removal does not mean a review was false or that the business did anything improper. Errors are corrected on request: defamationmonsters@gmail.com.
All removal counts come from Google’s own public removal notices, which Google has displayed on German business profiles since April 2026. This site does not know—and does not claim to know—which removed reviews were true or false, justified or unjustified. Requesting the removal of a review one considers defamatory is a legal right, and exercising that right is lawful. Nothing on this site asserts that any listed business acted unlawfully.
Derived figures—bucket midpoints, removal shares, and worst-case ratings—are approximations, computed from Google’s bucketed ranges as described on the methodology page, and are labeled as estimates throughout the site.
